we got lucky and landed with baggage and without delay on tuesday last. even though we had to change at the new terminal 5 of london heathrow which supposedly was choatic as employees were on strike. like i said, supposedly.
for all those less lucky passengers whose baggage didn't make it, they were nice enough to provide a sign which informed them of the fact. the sign was big.

the first day we spent eating dinner. twice.
on the second day we bought cellphones for everyone and then went north to sendai, where we went for a tour in a fishing boat and killed a lot of fishes, crabs and shells. also we ate them. mostly raw.
we also visited a whiskey brewery, drank more sake than was wise and climbed up a hill full of shrines and temples. maybe not in that order.

today i came back to tokyo, deposited my luggage at the kodokan judo institue and came here to see if the internet still works. there was a huge commotion on my way here because somebody jumped in front of a train.
